The X–Flow solar collectors are manufactured by Texsun AB an expansive Clean Tech corporation. With its production facilities situated in the northern part of Sweden the company produces solar collectors, energy collectors and flexible Heat exchangers for the global market. The company was formed in 1997 and the following year the inventor of the Flexible solar collector was awarded the prestigious National Skapa Prize for Innovation at the Swedish Technical Fair.
The X-Flow solar collectors are produced in a highly automated production line that is handled by a single operator. After the material is welded and the collectors cut inside the production line, the inlet and outlet connections are welded to the collector using a special adapted welding machine. After inspection and pressure testing, they are ready for delivery.
A patent protecting the product and the manufacturing process was granted in Sweden (1998-10-12 Nr: 96 0 40 20-9) Texsun has appointed Hunter Solar Pool Heating as distributor of the X-Flow solar collectors in Australia.
Example X-FLOW solar collector system for swimming pool application
- The heat from the sun is absorbed in the Texsun collectors which are made from durable and lime deposit-resistant PVC.
- As soon as the temperature in the collectors is higher than the pool temperature, the control circuit opens up the water flow and the system is in operation.
- The water is circulated by filter pump through collectors for heating and then back to the pool.
